That's hilarious! My kids stash things too, usually in the space between the dresser and the wall. My daughter has a bizzare collection of rocks and teeth. Yes, she insists on keeping all of the teeth she uses. It's a concern, for sure, but I don't think there will be any long term effects... I hope.
The tooth fairy thinks that idea stinks. I blame an episode of Super Why where he wrote a letter to the tooth fairy asking to keep the tooth. They didn't explain why he wanted to keep it... now I'm beginning to wonder about that kid...
Anyhow, the tooth fairy made a mistake of painting a tooth red white and blue that fell out on Flag Day. This has started a strange and regretable tradition.
